For over 17 years, Beryl Suitor developed a reputation for excellent landscape paintings. Her inspiration came from quiet rural scenes in Ireland, and her favourite subjects included cottages, churches, and other historically significant buildings. |

Introduced to painting by her late father, the demand for Beryl's original oil paintings -sold as far away as the United States and mainland Europe - was so great that Beryl started producing framed prints of her work. |

The framing requirements of these sales led to setting up a workshop for high quality framing services. It was from this that the idea for a business providing a wider range of high quality products and services for the local and tourist markets took shape. |

In 1990, after many months of hard work and dedication, the Suitor Gallery was opened, selling a wide range of products - including fine art, pottery, soft and wooden toys, amongst others. Despite being adjacent to two main roads where they join at Ballygawley Roundabout it is set amongst wooded countryside in a quiet orchard, which provides a real haven for travellers to rest and relax. A tearoom completes this experience, with homemade scones, traybakes, sandwiches, coffee and tea, and restful surroundings. |

The Suitor Gallery and Tearoom quickly became extremely popular, and Beryl was joined in the business in 1991 by her daughter Penny, who had recently graduated from university. Since that time the Gallery has offered a progressively wider range of products which stand out for their individuality, style and quality. |
